This is Brooklyn and I’m a recipient of the 2021 AYE Scholarship. I’m reaching out to you to just give you an update on how my first year of college went. As you may know, I was attending Virginia State University as a Computer Science major for my fall semester. I finished the semester with a 4.0 GPA while being in the honors program and student-athlete. For the spring semester, I transferred to Tennessee State University because the tennis program at VSU wasn’t what I expected it to be. I’m much happier that I’m closer to home and that they have a more structured tennis program. I finished this semester with a 4.0 GPA as well and made the Dean’s List. I love my HBCU and this wouldn’t be possible without your generous donation to further my education. I’d like to thank you again for this scholarship and I hope to continue excelling in my academic and athletic career.
