Dear members of AYE,
I am beyond amazed at how five years have come to pass. I remember walking through the doors of the Urban League building in Avondale on Reading Rd. I was nervous, but once I came before you all I immediately knew I was amongst family. Our connection outlasted the tremendously generous scholarship I was awarded. I have remained in touch with Angela Davis, and your committee also blessed me with two amazing and compassionate mentors – Evelyn and Paul Alexander. They have blessed my life in an unimaginable way. They have encouraged me to be open-minded, compassionate and continuously eager to learn. That mindset has served me well, and I will be starting my career with a company in Santa Barbara, CA. I have accomplished other exciting things that I would love to share in person someday soon. I also hope my letter has brought you further delight.
